The sea has always held a fascination for me for as long as I can remember. I am drawn to the endless colours and patterns that are created depending on the weather and the time of the day. I love that it can be soothing or exhilarating and everything in between. For me, it holds an emotional charge that can be transferred to the observer. Combine this with a love for the Japanese printmakers and you have my interpretation of the different moods of the ocean.  Creating these pieces becomes a form of meditation for me.
